The Agenda 2020 Technology Alliance promotes the development of new technologies for the paper and forest industry through collaborative R&D programs financed in part with public funds.
Agenda 2020 is a unique technology voice for the forest product industry, and fills a void not covered by other organizations in the U.S. forest products industry. MISSION - Identify R&D priorities that can help transform the industry through breakthrough technologies - Promote and facilitate pre-competitive R&D programs that address the industry's technology priorities - Inform the research community and funding agencies about the industry's opportunities and R&D needs - Seek funding for collaborative R&D programs We envision a paper and forest industry that is fully sustainable, has profitable long-term growth, and continually reduces its environmental footprint and its requirements for energy and water - an industry that is transformed through the use of breakthrough technologies.
