Agenda 2020 was a Corporate Sponsor of the 1st
International Biorefinery Workshop, hosted by the United
States Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency
and Renewable Energy (EERE)
and the European Commission
Directorate General for Research. Agenda 2020’s
exhibit highlighted for an audience of leading researchers,
developers, and policy makers the opportunities and challenges
for achieving the vision for the Integrated
Forest Products Biorefinery.
Agenda 2020 task group leaders and federal government partners
were among the Workshop speakers.
Dr. David Canavera (bio),
Project Leader for Forest Ecosystems at MeadWestvaco Corporation,
gave a presentation on Supplying Conventional Wood Products
to a Biorefinery. Dr. Canavera is the co-chair of Agenda 2020’s
Sustainable Forest Productivity Task Group. Click the links

Dr. Delmar Raymond, Director of Strategic Energy Alternatives
at Weyerhaeuser Corporation presented a summary of THE INTEGRATED
FOREST BIOREFINERY: A Preliminary & Compelling Business
Case. Dr. Raymond is the co-chair of Agenda 2020’s Advancing
